xAI launches Grok 4.7 for coding and knowledge work

The company calls it its most powerful model for coding and knowledge work — a new, larger base than Grok 4.6, trained with a longer reinforcement-learning run on harder multi-hour tasks, with stronger self-checking and longer-context handling. xAI says it is served at the same price and speed as Grok 4.6, starting at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, with a fast variant at twice the output speed and twice the price. OpenAI forms math advisory group after claiming major problem solves

State moves to bar 32 people tied to Prince Group scam network

Ex-Vitol trader gets 4 years for Ecuador and Mexico oil bribes

conspiracy and violations tied to Ecuador and a money-laundering conspiracy tied to Ecuador and Mexico; he separately pleaded guilty in a Mexico and Travel Act conspiracy. Prosecutors say he paid more than $1 million in bribes to Petroecuador officials for a $300 million fuel-oil deal and about $600,000 to PPI/PEMEX officials for ethane contracts, using shell companies and sham invoices. Seven co-conspirators pleaded guilty; collective forfeiture exceeded $63 million. The release cites Vitol’s December 2020 deferred prosecution agreement ($135 million combined).
