White House says the president is traveling to Alaska

The File desk · Oct 14, 2026, 10:50 AM UTC

Status

Confirmed as a White House post dated Oct. 13, 2026. It says the president travels to Alaska and then lists earlier decisions. No new presidential action dated Oct. 13 or Oct. 14 was on the actions page.

The White House said Tuesday that the president travels to Alaska. The post is a list of earlier decisions the administration says helped the state, from fisheries openings to veterans clinics and base construction. It does not say he signed a new order on the trip. The presidential-actions page shows nothing dated Oct. 13 or Oct. 14.

The post is dated Oct. 13, 2026. Its first sentence says the president travels to Alaska and returns with a record the White House describes as lower taxes, energy and mineral development, safer communities, fisheries, and Arctic security investments.

The items under that sentence are earlier. They include a January 2025 order on Alaska oil, gas, and minerals, a new veterans walk-in clinic in Anchorage in September 2026, and construction money at Alaska bases that the page ties to spending laws already signed. This story does not re-list those dollar figures. They are on the White House page.

The presidential-actions page, opened Wednesday morning, has no executive order, memorandum, or proclamation dated Oct. 13 or Oct. 14. The newest items there are dated Oct. 7.
