On Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, the White House said President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump finished a state visit with China’s President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan — the first Chinese presidential visit to the White House in more than a decade, and the first time a Chinese leader made two formal U.S. state visits.
