Confirmed from the White House notice of Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, listing 10 bills the President signed. The summaries below are the White House's. Public law numbers were not on that page.
President Trump on Tuesday signed 10 bills into law, the White House said. One makes a dating app warn a user who gets a message from someone the service banned for fraud. Another gives clergy two years to opt back into Social Security. Another turns Arizona's Chiricahua National Monument into a national park.1
The notice is dated Oct. 20 and begins, “On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the President signed into law.” The , which is , “requires online dating service providers to provide to a member of the online dating service a fraud ban notification if the member has received a message through the service from a member who was banned due to fraudulent activity.” The , , allows “a 2-year period” in which ministers, members of a religious order, and Christian Science practitioners may ask the Internal Revenue Service to revoke an exemption from Social Security coverage.1
Four of the bills move land. conveys a ranger-district site on the Tonto National Forest to Gila County, Arizona. The , , takes land in Washington into trust for the tribe. The , , conveys land in Anchorage. The , , directs Interior to convey about seven acres inside the park to Mississippi for an interpretive center. The notice does not list public law numbers or the day each new rule takes effect.1
Why it matters (Estimate). Estimate. A romance scam often starts with a message on a dating app. The new law means the app has to tell you if the person who wrote you was kicked off for fraud. The clergy bill reopens a Social Security choice that many ministers made once and could not undo. The other bills are a park, a study, a fee extension, and local land transfers.1
The , , redesignates the Chiricahua National Monument in southeastern Arizona as a national park. The , , requires the Labor Department to train certain employees to detect trafficking and help law enforcement. The , , requires the Commerce Department to study making in the United States a high-demand product that is imported because of a supply constraint. The , , extends Interior's authority to collect certain oil and gas permit-processing fees.1
