Status

Confirmed from Tesla's third-quarter update, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. The figures are the company's. Statements about robotaxi rides are the company's. A clock time for the release is not used.
  • Confirmed
Total revenue was $28.046 billion, against $28.095 billion a year earlier. GAAP net income was $787 million, against $1.373 billion.
  • Confirmed
The company said deliveries were 486,532, down 2 percent. Robotaxi and Cybercab sentences in the update are the company's claims.
Tesla said Wednesday that revenue for July through September was about $28.0 billion, essentially flat from a year earlier. Profit fell. The company said it delivered 486,532 vehicles, down 2 percent.1
The filing's table puts total revenue at $28,046 million, against $28,095 million a year earlier. GAAP net income attributable to common stockholders was $787 million, against $1,373 million. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $0.22, against $0.39. Those are the company's figures.1
Deliveries were 486,532, which the update marks as down 2 percent from 497,099 a year earlier. The update says that active Full Self-Driving subscriptions rose from 1.04 million to 1.74 million. It also says, “We started providing Robotaxi rides using Cybercabs on September 3 in Austin,” and that Tesla “Produced and delivered our 10 millionth vehicle.” Those two sentences are the company's claims.1
Why it matters (Estimate). Estimate. Tesla still sells about as many cars, in dollar terms, as it did a year earlier, and it is telling investors that a driverless-taxi service has started giving rides in Austin. The same quarter, profit was lower. Readers who care about the car, the fare, or the share should separate the company's claims about Cybercabs from the audited-style table of revenue and profit.
The Form 8-K says that on October 21, 2026, Tesla released its financial results. This story does not print a clock time for that release.
