OpenAI said Wednesday that starting Nov. 20, companies that pass its models straight through to other customers will need OpenAI's approval first. The company named model routers and AI gateways. The rule is OpenAI's.1
The post says that services that provide direct access must get review and approval, and must keep safeguards consistent with OpenAI's own. It also describes SafetyIDs, which it says let OpenAI tell end users apart without learning who they are. Those are the company's terms.1
