On Sept. 28, 2026, NFL.com reported that the Minnesota Vikings traded quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the 2024 No. 10 overall pick, to the New York Giants for a 2027 fifth-round draft pick. The move follows a season-ending knee injury to Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. Week 3 of the 2026 season is complete — Monday night’s final was Chicago 27, Philadelphia 7.
