Crew-13 is “go”; weather odds slip to 55% for Thursday try

On Sept. 30, NASA and SpaceX finished their launch readiness review and polled “go” for Crew-13. Liftoff is no earlier than 11:10 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, Oct. 1, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral. The crew is NASA’s Jessica Watkins, commander, and Luke Delaney, pilot, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov. Cape weather officers put the chance of favorable weather at 55 percent, down from the Sept. 29 briefing of 60 percent, citing showers and mid-level clouds. Live coverage was set to begin at 9:20 a.m. Eastern on Oct. 1. This edition locks before launch.
