The crew will hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 15 at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The four Crew-12 astronauts splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off Los Angeles at 11:34 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, NASA said, ending 237 days at the International Space Station. They are NASA's Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, Sophie Adenot of the European Space Agency, and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. Recovery teams picked up the SpaceX capsule and crew shortly afterward. The crew will hold a news conference in Houston on Oct. 15.

NASA's station blog says that at 11:34 a.m. Eastern, 8:34 a.m. Pacific, the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft splashed down off the coast of Los Angeles. The capsule is Crew Dragon Freedom. The blog says the landing completes 237 days at the station for the four-person crew. Thursday's story on this site covered the undocking on Wednesday morning. This is the landing. Thursday's edition locked before splashdown.

NASA release 26-083 says the crew spent 237 days in orbit and traveled more than 100 million miles. Administrator Jared Isaacman is quoted in that release. Meir has logged 440 total days in space, which puts her in NASA's top 10. The release says she completed four spacewalks on this mission and seven in her career, third among NASA women behind Peggy Whitson and Suni Williams. Adenot completed three, and is the first French woman to walk outside the station. A station blog line says the crew also conducted four spacewalks during the mission. This story does not add those figures into one total.

The same release sets a news conference at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Johnson Space Center in Houston. Health details beyond standard postflight medical screenings were not in the posts read.
