Lindsay M. Clancy of Duxbury is on trial in Plymouth Superior Court on three counts of murder under G.L. c. 265 § 1 in the Jan. 24, 2023 deaths of her children Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy. A Plymouth County grand jury returned those murder indictments, and three companion strangulation or suffocation counts under G.L. c. 265 § 15D(b), on Sept. 15, 2023. She pleaded not guilty. The same release said Duxbury police received a 911 call at about 6:11 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2023, for 47 Summer Street, and that first responders later found the three children in the basement. Cora, 5, and Dawson, 3, were pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth, the office said. Callan died after treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner listed Cora and Dawson’s cause of death as asphyxia and Callan’s as complication of asphyxia. A Feb. 7, 2023, district-court arraignment, also announced by the office, recorded a not-guilty plea via Zoom before Judge John Canavan.

Duxbury Woman Arraigned On Charges That She Murdered Her Three Children

Today, Lindsay Clancy, 33, was arraigned in Tewksbury State Hospital on three counts each of Murder and Strangulation. Clancy pleaded not guilty to the charges and was held without bail at the facility. At approximately 6:11 p.m. on January 24, 2023, Duxbury Police received a 911 call … at a home at 47 Summer Street. First responders subsequently located three children in the basement. A 5 year-old girl and a 3 year-old boy were transported to Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Plymouth where they were pronounced deceased. They were identified as Cora Clancy and Dawson Clancy. Eight-month Callan Clancy was medflighted to Boston Children’s hospital where he was treated for several days before he passed away. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death to Cora and Dawson Clancy was asphyxia, and the cause of death to Callan Clancy was complication of asphyxia. On September 15, a Plymouth County grand jury indicted Lindsay Clancy on the charges.

Today, Lindsay Clancy, 32, was arraigned from her bed in a Boston hospital via Zoom. She pleaded not guilty to three counts each of Murder, Strangulation and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Judge John Canavan ordered Lindsay to be held in a medical facility until her treatment is complete.
