Justice Department monitors New Hampshire’s primary in Manchester and Nashua

Confirmed from a Justice Department Office of Public Affairs release dated Sept. 8, 2026 (press release 26-1027). No incident findings from the monitoring are in the release.
Federal election monitors are on the ground in New Hampshire. On Sept. 8 the Justice Department said staff from the Civil Rights Division’s Voting Section are watching polls in Manchester and Nashua for the state primary. Four department people are in each city. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon said the work continues through primary season before midterm monitoring ramps up. U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan for New Hampshire said her office is partnering on election integrity. The department listed the and other federal voting statutes it enforces. The public can send voting-rights questions or complaints to VEM@usdoj.gov through Election Day on Nov. 3.
