On Sept. 30, 2026, the Justice Department said a federal grand jury separately indicted 10 lawful permanent residents on Sept. 24 for alleged illegal voting and false claims of citizenship to vote, or one of those charges, in the 2022 and 2024 general elections, and in one case the August 2026 primary. Initial appearances were Sept. 28–30.
