The Justice Department’s Office of Public Affairs, in release 26-1000 dated Aug. 31, 2026, said eight U.S. Attorneys and the department joined Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs, and Vice Chairman Andrew Ferguson of the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud to announce an interagency effort on fraud in the trucking industry.
The release says the coalition announced Joint Task Force Crossroads of America, “a multi-state partnership to secure our highways and strengthen border security,” targeting criminal networks and fraud.
