Arizona clinic owner gets 14 years in $69 million Medicaid fraud

Rita Ntusa Anagho, 54, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, was sentenced Wednesday to 14 years in federal prison after pleading guilty in May 2025 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and health care fraud. The Justice Department says her Tusa Integrated Clinic billed Arizona’s Medicaid agency more than $69 million in less than a year for addiction therapy that was not provided or not provided as billed, targeting Native American patients on a higher-paying plan. The agency paid about $54.9 million. The court also ordered nearly $55 million in restitution and forfeiture of almost $9.5 million from bank accounts and almost $7 million in real estate.
