Prasan Nepal, 21, of High Point, North Carolina, pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiring to sexually exploit a child, prosecutors in Washington said. They say he and a co-defendant led 764, an online network whose members used encrypted apps to find vulnerable children and coerce them into making sexual and violent material. They say status in the group came from producing that material, and that the pair exploited at least eight children, some as young as 13, from late 2020 to early 2025. Nepal faces 15 to 30 years in prison. Sentencing is set for March 5, 2027.
The Justice Department's release, No. 26-1164, says Nepal, also known online as Trippy, pleaded guilty yesterday. The release is dated Oct. 9, so the plea was Oct. 8. It names the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and the National Security Division's Counterterrorism Section. It does not name the court. This story does not add one.
Prosecutors say the co-defendant is Leonidas Varagiannis, known as War. The release does not say where his case stands. They say Nepal was arrested in 2025. The investigation is the FBI's Washington Field Office. The release describes harm to a child in more detail than this story will repeat.
What is still unknown or disputed
- The judge, the court, and the case number. The release does not name them.
- Varagiannis's custody or extradition status.
