Monthly Full Report on Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories, & Orders for July 2026: new orders increased $5.8 billion or 0.9 percent to $663.6 billion after a 0.2 percent June decrease. Shipments up $5.3 billion or 0.8 percent to $658.8 billion. Unfilled orders up $9.9 billion or 0.6 percent to $1,600.3 billion; unfilled orders-to-shipments ratio 6.81 (from 6.84). Inventories up $3.5 billion or 0.4 percent to $966.9 billion; inventories-to-shipments ratio 1.47, unchanged. The PDF schedules the Advance Report on durable goods for August for Sept. 25, 2026, 8:30 a.m. EDT, and the next full M3 report for Oct. 2, 2026, 10:00 a.m. EDT.

Shipments, up nine of the last ten months, increased $5.3 billion or 0.8 percent to $658.8 billion. … Unfilled orders … increased $9.9 billion or 0.6 percent to $1,600.3 billion. … The unfilled orders-to-shipments ratio was 6.81, down from 6.84 in June. Inventories … increased $3.5 billion or 0.4 percent to $966.9 billion. … The inventories-to-shipments ratio was 1.47, unchanged from June.”
