The theory says UAP are extraterrestrial spacecraft and that the U.S. government recovered them and reverse-engineered the tech. The official finding is the opposite of that claim. Unresolved is not identified as ET.

319 reports in the cycle (284 from June 2, 2024–May 30, 2025; 35 older). Resolved 114 of those 319 plus 256 older = 370 resolutions. Holdings 1,870 as of May 30, 2025. Of 319: 274 air, 44 space, 1 maritime. 191 to active archive (insufficient data). Nine merited further IC/S&T.

“AARO assesses that all resolved cases are attributable to prosaic objects such as balloons, satellites, birds, aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). AARO also assesses that one case is attributable to a commercial rocket launch and one to a manned jet pack.”

What remains unresolved

Virginia maritime case: about 100 airborne UAP plus two likely uncrewed surface systems. AARO says it is investigating. Origin is Unverified.

Nuclear-site drones: 50 UAS reports from NNSA/NRC, +177.8% vs 18 in FY2024. AARO: “None of these incidents were reported as UAP.”

The September 9, 2025 House hearing (serial 119-44) is sworn testimony, not an AARO finding. This desk does not treat it as confirmation of ET. No 2026 UAP hearing was found.
